What operating pressure is right for Hunter?
MP Rotators 2.8 bar – measure 3.5 bar due to pressure loss
Hunter MP Rotators perform best at 2.8 bar. Hunter gear sprinklers can also be set to 2.8 bar.
However, because 0.2 bar (in the valve) and approx. 0.5 bar (in the pipe) are lost on the way through the valve box and pipes, we always measure the available water volume at 3.5 bar. This way, we can be sure that the 2.8 bar actually reaches the sprinkler.
The drip pipe runs as usual via a pressure reducer.
In short: Hunter sprinklers operate at 2.8 bar, but we measure at 3.5 bar to ensure that the 2.8 bar actually reach the sprinkler.
